Altelaw & Sempra has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Teofipol Settlement Council of the Khmelnytskyi region
Altelaw & Sempra has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Teofipol Settlement Council of the Khmelnytskyi region. For us, this is much more than just a formal document.
We work daily with large investors, developers, and energy companies, but we are convinced: real changes in the energy sector begin precisely at the community level. Where there is a genuine need for in-house generation, energy efficiency, and new development models.
That is why this memorandum stipulates that Altelaw & Sempra will provide the community with legal analysis and expert support regarding the implementation of projects in renewable and distributed generation, tariff regulation, land relations, municipal property management, and investment attraction.
Because any energy project is not just about technology or investments.
It is always a complex legal architecture: implementation models, interaction with regulators, land issues, working with investors, public-private partnership mechanisms, or concessions. And very often, it is precisely at this stage that communities are left to face dozens of complex decisions on their own.
Therefore, for us, this is partly about professional responsibility and our social mission—helping those communities that truly want to move forward and are ready to work systematically on developing their own energy sector.
“Communities that genuinely want to move toward their own generation and energy efficiency need a high-quality legal foundation: from analyzing implementation models to protecting their interests in interactions with regulators and investors. The memorandum with Teofipol is confirmation that local self-government is ready for systematic work, not just declarations,” noted Olha Savchenko, Senior Partner at Altelaw & Sempra.
And we would also like to express our special gratitude to the leadership of the Teofipol community.
Because any cooperation only makes sense when there is movement from both sides. In the case of Teofipol, we see exactly this approach: care, initiative, and a readiness to genuinely look for solutions.
And, frankly speaking, it is exactly such communities that inspire us to work even harder.
