For our litigation team, 2025 was defined by tangible results: recovered funds, overturned penalties, and protected projects. Throughout the year, Altelaw&Sempra managed over 30 judicial proceedings in the fields of energy and regulatory affairs—including disputes with NEURC (the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission), SE “Guaranteed Buyer,” as well as cases seeking compensation for damages caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

– UAH 266 million effectively recovered for clients in disputes regarding “green” tariff debt for the 2021–2025 periods. This amount includes the principal debt along with inflation adjustments and 3% per annum interest.
– Over UAH 126 million—the value of a case handled by our team regarding the recovery of damages from the Russian Federation caused to a renewable energy producer.
– Over UAH 6.3 million recovered in favor of clients in disputes concerning payments for support of renewable electricity production under the Market Premium mechanism.
