On March 20, the event “Integration of RES into the energy system of Ukraine: challenges and opportunities” was held
Olga Savchenko, Senior Partner at Altelaw, participated in the event “Integration of RES into the energy system of Ukraine: challenges and opportunities” within the framework of the Ukrainian Energy Initiative of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine.

The event brought together leading industry experts, business representatives, and government agencies to discuss key challenges and prospects for Ukraine’s energy transformation.
The speakers of the first panel of the event entitled “How will the energy sector change in 2025?” were Andriy Konechenkov, Chairman of the UWEA Board, Yuriy Fedak, Deputy Director for Development of Eco-Optima Group, Olga Savchenko, Senior Partner at Altelaw, and Ihor Retivov, Head of Regulatory Affairs at DTEK Renewables – DTEK Renewables (a Ukrainian renewable energy company).
During the panel discussion, the participants reviewed the upcoming changes in the energy sector of Ukraine and its regulatory policy, discussed the key trends that will determine the development of the industry in 2025, and shared their vision of integrating RES into the country’s energy system in wartime.

The event has become an essential platform for an open dialog between government, business, and expert community representatives. The participants emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to reforming the energy sector, including investments in technology, infrastructure modernization, and legislative initiatives.

We are extremely grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to participate in the discussion on topical issues in the energy sector.
