Altelaw&Sempra advised “Nova-Energy” (part of the “Nova Poshta” group) on its entry into the electricity supply market
For “Nova-Energy,” this wasn’t just a formal step but a strategic decision to create its own energy model and increase the autonomy and resilience of the group’s infrastructure. For Altelaw&Sempra, this collaboration confirmed a simple principle: the best work with the best.
Our contribution:
•Prepared and submitted documents to obtain an electricity supply license.
- Registered the company as a market participant.
- Developed and concluded a full package of technical and commercial agreements.
- Provided legal support in interactions with the regulator, the Transmission System Operator (TSO), and Distribution System Operators (DSOs).
- Performed all necessary actions for the company to start operating in the electricity market.
Context:
Over the past few years, the “Nova Poshta” group has invested approximately UAH 300 million in its own energy projects and plans to invest another UAH 150 million this year. With these steps, the company clearly shows that business is ready to meet its own needs. All that’s required, as Volodymyr Popereshniuk says, is “not to interfere,” and as we say, good lawyers.
