Wind Energy as a Driver of Reconstruction: Our Summary from the Ukrainian Wind Energy Forum 2025 by Ukrainian Wind Energy Association

We were proud to be a partner of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Forum 2025, which took place on September 9 in Lviv. The event brought together hundreds of participants—government representatives, investors, international organizations, and businesses.

Key Takeaways from the Forum
Resilience and Security: Wind energy is already an element of Ukraine’s energy independence. The discussion showed that the faster we develop the sector, the stronger we will be in the face of external challenges.
Investment and Financing: Banks, international funds, and donors are ready to enter the sector, but they expect stable rules and transparency. Our task is to create the legal and institutional conditions for this.

Supply Chains: The forum confirmed that the Ukrainian market offers opportunities for localizing production and services. At the same time, it is important to avoid “bottlenecks” in logistics and regulation.

International Cooperation: Collaboration with the EU and global technology giants is forging a new level of Ukraine’s integration into the world’s energy system.

Our Summary
Wind energy is not just about megawatts. It’s about investor confidence, jobs, new infrastructure, and, ultimately, a resilient reconstruction of the country. Developers and investors are ready, and we are happy to be a part of several upcoming projects.

We are proud to have been a part of this story. We thank the UWEA and all partners for the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of renewable energy in Ukraine.

In fact, the best summary of the forum came from Mr. Artem Nekrasov during his speech:
“For Ukraine, wind is not just a symbol of freedom but also a source of energy independence. Our task is to integrate Ukrainian wind energy into the European market and create conditions for its stable development.”
