Yesterday, the landmark 10th Business & Legal Energy Forum took place, organized by PRAVO.UA. Altelaw & Sempra traditionally served as the event’s general partner, marking ten years as a key platform for professional discussions in the energy sector.

Opening the first session, Olga Savchenko, Senior Partner at Altelaw & Sempra, emphasized, “Energy is a sector where the speed of decision-making determines not only the stability of the economy but also the country’s security. The forum brings together key players so that we can jointly assess the challenges, shape priorities, and define paths for reconstruction.”
The first session focused on a range of critical topics: energy sector European integration, the current state of the fuel and energy complex and its reconstruction priorities, the challenges of the 2025/26 season, the development of new technologies, the role of energy efficiency, the prospects of applying CBAM, ESG priorities for Ukrainian business, international technical assistance, business needs in the context of energy supply, and the status of critically important enterprises.
The discussion participants included Andriy Herus, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities; Olia Evstigneeva, Decarbonization Expert with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine’s Reform Support Team; Hanna Zamazyeyeva, Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine; Maximilian Tonner, Economic and Energy Advisor at the German Embassy in Ukraine; Iryna Ursu, Advisor at KAIZEN Law Firm; and Oleksandr Hryban, Director of the Sustainable Development and Non-Financial Reporting Department at JSC Ukrnafta.
