Olga Savchenko, Senior Partner at Altelaw&Sempra, Spoke at the Third Hromada Conference: Strengthening Ukraine.
Olga Savchenko, Senior Partner at Altelaw&Sempra and Head of the Legal Committee at the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA), contributed to the discussion “Mutual Resilience: Ukraine–Nordic–Baltic Dialogue on Energy Transition and Security” during the Third Hromada Conference: Strengthening Ukraine, organised by the Stockholm School of Economics.
The panel convened experts from Ukraine, the Baltic, and Nordic nations to explore how mutual knowledge exchangecan bolster regional energy security and resilience amidst wartime conditions and hybrid threats.
“Europe is keen to understand how to leverage Ukraine’s unique—and, regrettably, hard-won—experience in hardening energy systems. Our primary lessons lie in decentralisation, crisis preparedness, the expansion of renewables, agile legislative response, and the deployment of new technologies. In certain verticals, such as energy storage or cable pooling, we have even outpaced the EU,” noted Olga Savchenko.
The conference delegates included representatives from governmental and academic institutions, the diplomatic corps, international media, and students engaging with the Ukrainian experience. The sincerity, engagement, and commitment to aiding Ukraine fostered a profound sense of shared European unity and mutual support.
