Altelaw & Sempra – Organizational Partner of Energy Storage Day 2026 by UWEA
On April 27, 2026, the first industry conference, “Energy Storage Day 2026: The New Architecture of the Ukrainian Power System,” organized by the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA), will take place in Kyiv at the UNIT.City innovation park.
Altelaw & Sempra is acting as an organizational partner of the conference. We thank UWEA for the invitation and the opportunity to join a platform where practical answers to key questions regarding the development of the energy storage systems (ESS) market and energy flexibility technologies are formulated.
The Association systematically focuses on the development of RES in Ukraine, sets the professional standard for industry discussions, and creates a space where the industry can openly address challenges, opportunities, problems, and ways to overcome them. Through such efforts, UWEA shapes a shared market vision, from strategic goals to applied implementation tools.
The relevance of the event’s theme is evident. The full-scale war has altered the approach to energy security, prompting Ukraine to transition toward a more decentralized, flexible, and resilient power system model. In this model, ESS serve as a fundamental element for balancing, RES integration, and ensuring system stability.
The Energy Storage Day 2026 program will cover the primary topics for the market: the legal framework of ESS and regulatory risks at the project’s inception, initial case studies and asset economics, scaling and long-term predictability tools, financing models, as well as the prospects of green hydrogen as a component of the new energy architecture.
